Amazon Sets Premiere Date for Video Game Anthology Secret Level, Drops First Teaser

Amazon Prime Video has set the premiere date and released the first teaser for its new video game anthology series.

Titled “Secret Level,” the series will feature 15 episodes of original short stories set in the worlds of classic video games such as “Armored Core,” “Dungeons & Dragons” and “Spelunky.” 

“Secret Level” will be exclusively available on Prime Video starting December 10. This project comes from Amazon MGM Studios and Blur Studio, the creators of  Netflix’s first animated anthology, “Love, Death + Robots.” Tim Miller and Dave Wilson serve as executive producers with Wilson also serving as supervising director.

“’Secret Level’ weaves a tapestry of iconic games across multiple mediums, to tell a series of unique and captivating stories,” said Vernon Sanders, head of television for Amazon MGM Studios. “Created and led by Tim Miller, Blur Studio, and Supervising Director Dave Wilson, each episode will take our global Prime Video customers on a brand new journey with breathtaking animation and imaginative storytelling.”

 Other video games from which “Secret Level” takes inspiration include “Concord,” “Crossfire,” “Exodus,” “Honor of Kings,” “Mega Man,” “New World: Aeternum,” “PAC-MAN,” “Sifu,” “The Outer Worlds,” “Unreal Tournament” and “Warhammer 40,000.”
