
Netflix India has revealed a new collaboration with creators Raj & DK for its first action-fantasy series, “Rakt Bramhand – The Bloody Kingdom.” This project follows their recent successful collaboration with the series “Guns & Gulaabs.”
The duo will partner with director Rahi Anil Barve and writer Sita R. Menon under their production company, D2R Films. The series is set to feature action sequences and visual effects within a fictional kingdom setting. Filming is due to commence soon.
Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK, known professionally as Raj & DK, have established themselves as innovative filmmakers in the Indian entertainment industry. The duo gained recognition for their work on films such as “99,” “Shor in the City” and “Go Goa Gone.” They’ve also found success in the streaming space with Prime Video series like “The Family Man” and “Farzi.” The duo formed a multi-year creative partnership with Netflix in 2022.

Barve made his feature film debut with the critically acclaimed “Tumbbad” in 2018. The period folk horror film garnered praise for its visual storytelling and unique narrative approach. “Tumbbad” premiered at Venice, opening the Critics’ Week section. It also screened at Fantastic Fest, Busan and the BFI London Film Festival as part of a stellar global festival run.

Menon, a long-time collaborator of Raj & DK, has worked with the duo on various projects as a writer. Her credits include contributions to “Farzi” and other productions under the D2R Films banner.
